सध्या उत्तर भारतात थंडीमुळे केळीला मागणी कमी आहे. वर्षभरात डिसेंबर, जानेवारी व फेब्रुवारी या काळात सर्वांत कमी दर केळीला मिळतात. मागील १० वर्षे अशीच स्थिती राहिली आहे. यामुळे शेतकऱ्यांनी मार्च व एप्रिलमधील केळी लागवड टाळली आहे.
At present, the demand for banana is low in North India due to cold weather. During the year December, January and February the lowest prices are available for bananas. This has been the situation for the last 10 years. Due to this, farmers have avoided planting bananas in March and April.
