हिमालय पर्वत व लगतच्या भागात होत असलेली हिमवृष्टी सुरूच असली तरी उत्तर भारतातील राज्यात थंडी कमी झाली आहे. शुक्रवारी (ता. २०) उत्तर प्रदेशच्या कानपूर येथे देशाच्या सपाट भूभागावरील यंदाच्या नीचांकी ३.८ अंश सेल्सिअस तापमानाची नोंद झाली. आज (ता. २१) ओडिशा, आसाम, मेघालय आणि त्रिपुरा राज्यांच्या काही भागात दाट धुके पडण्याचा अंदाज आहे.
Although snowfall continues in the Himalayan mountains and adjoining areas, the cold has eased in the state of North India. On Friday (20th), Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur recorded the lowest temperature of 3.8 degrees Celsius this year in the plains of the country. Today (21st) dense fog is expected in some parts of Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura states.
