केंद्र सरकार दुसऱ्या टप्प्यातील साखर निर्यातीला परवानगी देणार की नाही, परवानगी दिल्यास किती साखर निर्यात होईल याची उत्तरं मिळण्यासाठी आणखी एक महिना वाट पाहावी लागणार आहे. साखर निर्यातीसाठी अतिरिक्त कोटा जाहीर करायचा की नाही, याचा निर्णय जानेवारी महिन्यात होणार आहे. केंद्र सरकार पुढील महिन्यात साखरेचे उत्पादन आणि मागणी यांचा आढावा घेऊन यांसदर्भातील निर्णय घेईल, असे केंद्रीय अन्न सचिव संजीव चोप्रा यांनी सांगितले.

We have to wait for another month to get answers whether the central government will allow the export of sugar in the second phase, and how much sugar will be exported if given permission. The decision whether to announce additional quota for sugar export or not will be taken in the month of January. Union Food Secretary Sanjiv Chopra said that the central government will review the production and demand of sugar next month and take a decision in this regard.
